June: zoo and swim lessons

We bought a zoo pass this year, and it's been well worth it.  We were able to spend time with cousins from both sides!
Tyson (the boys loved the lego theme at the zoo this summer)

 Shelby's in the back!
 Audrey came too!

AND...I have 2 little fish for children

 Bowen learned to dive.
Leah cried and cried during the entire first three classes, but by the end she loved it.  She's always asking for me to give her swimming lessons.
More summer updates to come...

May and June

May was busy!  We had a sister's weekend in SLC (with the three girl grand-babies born last year).  Abby left on her mission to Vancouver, Canada.  Bowen graduated preschool and is going to kindergarten this fall.  And we got the garden planted.

June: Somehow the whole first month of summer had whizzed by and I finally feel like I've got a routine going.  It's really fun and exhausting having the kids home all the time.  We try to do fun things everyday.  Lately our activities are indoors or at the pool, because it's been 100 degrees outside.  Pictures to come!

April was Birthday month

 Ruby at 3 months

Leah turned 3 and had a pink pig cake!

Smiley girl, even sucks her thumb occasionally.  Maybe she will be like Leah.

Bowen put this hat on and said, "Look mom, I'm Jake!" (My brother on his mission in Brazil)

Bowen turned five! Construction cake and swimming with cousins.

Oh Zion!

We took our first road trip with Ruby.  We went to Zion's National Park.  It was awesome.  Seth and I expected to see dry desert everywhere, but we were pleasantly surprised with all the "vegetation".  We saw so many wild flowers and trees growing right out of the rocks; it was breath-taking.

 Emerald Pools hike

 Weeping Rock hike

 River walk hike
Bowen hiked the whole way!  (5 miles the first day and 2 1/2 the second)

Day 2: More Zions
Overlook hike trail in Zions (just past the mile-long tunnel)

We pulled off the side of the road, had a picnic and explored this dry river bed.

 Day 3: Kolob Canyon
